Founder, Managing Director & CEO
Brett has provided the inspiration leading or coaching in brand concept, development, marketing, and distribution on each BABI endeavor since its foundation in 1994. With 20+ years of experience marketing global brands in Greater China and beyond Brett has mastered fluent written and spoken Mandarin Chinese. A graduate of Cornell’s College of Arts and Science in New York, Brett completed his postgraduate work in Chinese and Asian Studies.
In addition to his responsibilities at BABI Brett is a frequent contributor and commentator to various Asia-based business periodicals and serves on the board of several companies. Passionate about ecosystem conservation Brett donates his energies to local wildlife charities and, until age caught up with him a bit, was occasionally spotted kite-surfing ocean waves.
Chief Operations’ Officer
Bessie has served as Director of Operations since 2000 and been instrumental to expansion of BABI’s brands in Asia as well as overseeing logistics, supply chain, and human resources. Prior to joining BABI’s executive team Bessie spent over 16 years driving operations and logistics inside multinationals including McDonalds, Commonwealth Toys, and Kenner Parker Toys.
Fluent in English and multiple dialects of Mandarin Bessie is a graduate of National Taichung Institute of Commerce with a specialization in Banking and Insurance. Bessie earned her MBA from the University of South Australia. Bessie with her husband are avid nature walkers and lovers of local cuisine.
Creative Marketing Director
Randy joined BABI in 2012 and in his role as Creative Marketing Director brings over 36 years of Asia based creative brand-building experience. Randy previously served in Creative Director roles at many of the top global advertising agencies including Sandwhick International, J. Walter Thomson, Dentsu, and Young & Rubicam. Randy has developed marketing and political campaigns for the Middle East, Eastern Europe regions and many more.
Prior to beginning his professional career Randy was awarded a full NCAA Football Scholarship and played in the prestigious Rose Bowl and Liberty Bowl leading to a position player on the NFL Washington Redskins.
International Sales Director
Corrado came onboard at Brett’s request to take charge of international sales. Born in Milan, Italy, he was raised as a citizen of the world. Corrado has resided in Monaco, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo and Singapore before settling recently in Bangkok. His deep knowledge of the social and cultural background of virtually every country on this planet, comes in handy regarding his task of consolidating and expanding the presence of our brands beyond the current 30 countries.
When not on the road negotiating with distributors or doing market surveys, he takes time out to enjoy a Cuban cigar and a glass of aged dark rum...on KOH Coconut Water ice-cubes, of course.
His capable associate, Jordan Huang, is a most appreciated colleague and works out of the Taipei head office.
Senior Logistic Manager
Teresa, with her team, directs product movement, stock and inventory.
With production centers in Taiwan, the USA, Canada, Thailand, Sri Lanka with sales in countries on four continents, it’s no surprise that logistics quickly became a critical function during the growth of BABI Group.
Overseeing the massive flow of imports into our domestic market of both raw material and finished goods, shipping many containers a day and keeping track of all our products, Teresa has mastered it all and still has time to care for her two children.
Senior Supply Chain Manager
Jacy has complete responsibility of all R&D and production activities.
She and her team spend hours on the floor of our manufacturing facilities to perfect the formulations of BABI brand cookies and beverages. Jacy leads a group of dedicated specialists in sourcing raw materials, due diligence in taste-profile analysis, manufacturing operations, product stability and international certifications.
From head office in Taiwan, she oversees every single production run from our co-packers in supplying our international brands.
